Stage 1 complete

Thankfully it was a good day at the West Lothian Producers Market in Livingston today (I took the same amount in my first half hour there as I did across 6 full hours at two of my other markets this month, to give you an idea of how variable they can be).

I got home, unloaded the car and then got to move my tumbles on to the next stage. These have been going for six days on a higher speed and using a pretty rough grit. Am delighted with the results already, am particularly loving the green moss agate (I think) on the left, which was just a slightly greeny grey rock when it went in (one of the rocks I collected on farmland, known for its agates, nr Cupar a few weeks ago).

They're now going in for 8 more days on a lower speed and with a slightly finer grit. I'm going with the guidelines as a baseline for this lot and will refine as I learn more.
