Hot for teacher

Since Fidra – also known as l'instructrice de l'Biscuite :-) – has been continuing to leak coolant from places unknown, and last time, was busy emitting smoke or possibly steam as well, I fired her up today to try to find out what was going on.  I threw all the tools I had at the problem, including the thermal camera, supposing that since coolant is hot it ought to show up clearly.

Well, the exhaust was pretty hot, and I burned my finger on it last time, and coolant was merrily dripping from somewhere.  I think I found the source, or maybe sources.  I tightened one hose clip that looked tight but wasn't, but will need to drain the coolant and whip off the radiator to get at the other one that definitely is leaking.  Le sigh.

It's been quite a lazy day otherwise though, doing a wash, and having a long midday video chat with lovely bestie who was in the middle of her day shift.

Mum and Dad came round at teatime to pick up some bits and pieces and we had a good chat about Lion Foundry things and following up on yesterday's adventure.
