Misty dawn

A beautiful, life enhancing morning on Primrose Hill.

I was fascinated to see the parakeets this morning. They seem to fly a lot higher than the other birds. Three of them managed to outpace a plane :-D (see extra). 

I love the sound of this invasive species. They are very chirpy at dawn and dusk. There used to be a lot of them in Kensington Gardens. We would bring apples for them to drink. I learned that they were very tame and you can handle them like budgerigars.

At sundown in Australia dozens of different species of parrot would settle down and roost in the trees. They would make a hell of a racket!
