Porthmadog
It was wet when we got up so was quite glad that Julian offered to walk Django. I did some yoga and enjoyed the cottage.
Later on, the weather seemed to improve so Julian and I left Katya at the cottage - she has an assignment for Monday and a lot of revision to do - and walk down and across the causeway to Porthmadog. There, we spent time at the station watching the trains and locomotives and decided to have lunch there at the station café while watching the action.
After lunch, we walked on but it started drizzling so we bought a few things for our evening meal and turn back. The weather improved as we walked so decided to go back the long way. We went on top of the cliffs just above the railway works, so we could see what was going on from above. Crossed a field of lovely highland cattle, and ended up at the house just above our cottage called Plas Penrhyn. It's a lovely place with a beautiful wisteria on one side and a clematis on the other. It is also the former home of Bertrand Russell - he spent the last 15 years of his life there.
The area is lovely, with oak forests, nature walks and a lot to explore.
