Vevey Escapade
The lakeside town of Vevey only takes 15-20 mins by train once I get down to the station with a bus and the metro. I used to live here many years ago when I was still single. It was the first French-speaking part of Switzerland that I lived in. The street where I lived in was called Avenue Nestlé. The global headquarters of Nestlé are in Vevey.
It's always very nice for me to visit this town and walk along the lake and stroll in the attractive old part of town.
Today was particuarly lovely with a tiny breeze along the lake front.
I purchased some very comfortable sneakers from a shoe store that holds shoe brands which really suit my feet, so it's worth the trip for that too. If I had stayed on the train, the next stop would have been Montreux. I go there occasionally because the flowers and plants are always so stunning along the lakeside.
