Lion

A walk around the city after work to take a few shots, and after a walk round the Cathedral I chose to blip closer to home. This shot shows a stone Lion Statue in the local park , it was presented to the city in 1872 by F J Clarke and was put in the Arboretum close to home . It has survived quite well over the years and even in 1909 it was found to have been painted by what is thought to have been some local apprentices but it was never proven who was to blame
