Beyond the garden

Another 'no swim' day. In fact I didn't get up till after 9, after some French. Though not necessarily in this order, fed cats, tidied the kitchen, vacuumed (a wee bit), dropped off keys, did a bit of sewing, ate, packed and eventually, at 1.15, set off.

Apart from the apparently normal queues at Straiton it was a cheat run up to Crieff..Good to see L again, and her new boxer, Rosie. We spent summer time catching up and then took Rosie a walk round McCrosty Park. It was very peaceful and not a breath of wind.

After getting changed, and some Prosecco, it was off for our vegan meal in Errol. Took us 45 minutes to get there. L has been vegan for 14 years. I am not and this, though enjoyable, will not convert me. The building, a converted hall, was lovely and they had some quirky things for sale.

It was deep gloamin' when we left the Lass o' Gowrie and there were a couple of near misses on the way back: a young deer ran in front of us and later a bird, owl?, flew into the top of the windscreen. Don't know if it survived but there was no sign of it when we went back to look..

Back in Crieff another glad of Prosecco, more chat about cats and dogs and then bed, much later than my now norm.

Spoke to Y this am. A crisis looming with her mother. Later a message confirmed this as R, 91?, has been admitted to Cornhill under the mental health a t for her own safety..
