New colors and shades

You can see that this was a grey and misty day. Every day in this house is “new” in that we have not lived here in April before; it is our first year and we moved in in September last year. So the plants that are appearing are often a surprise. The micro climate here, next to the river and in the salty air of the Pacific, is also totally different from our old place. The wind that builds up every sunny day in the morning and is blowing a gale all afternoon is sometimes a disappointment
for me, not a place for a rose garden.
But I like days like today, I enjoy getting things done in the house. Today I made a hazelnut cake, we had a very nice warm breakfast after our time in the gym in the morning and after lunch we were able to get rid of our garden furniture set, which was crowding the small spot that we had cleared in that lot .
We will not have big crowded summer parties anymore. Not in that lot and not in this life. I presume.
