Two ferries and a scenic route……
……… describes in brief half of our day. Driving in convoy, we took the EV and motorhome across the Firth of Clyde from Gourock to Hunters Quay, north of Dunoon before striking across country, through glens and round lochs to Portavadie to board our second ferry of the day, this time across Loch Fyne to Tarbert. On the way, we just had to stop and admire the beautiful view across the Kyles of Bute (main).
After lunch in Lochgilphead, we had hoped to spend some time at the new Kilmartin Museum but it was extremely busy and there was no space for parking a motorhome so we cut our losses and headed for our overnight pitch near Ardfern so that we could enjoy the rest of the beautiful sunny day. The extra is the view from the west side of the Craignish Peninsula, just a couple of miles south of our campsite.
