Feral chimney colony daughter

Headed east to the feral chimney colony to check if needed to move into a hive.

Mr Smith greeted me with fine banter. A wee smith volunteered to help so we got kitted up and all equipment ready.

Opened the nuc and a lot of brood so I decided to move into a hive.

Well behaved bees made the process easier and they were all settled quickly. Even the mother of the hive appeared in yellow.

Scone, tea and chat. A great morning and a success.

The colony still in chimney very active so another bait hive set up.

A lovely wee card with kind words, cheers.

Visit to mentee to help and chat about his swarm control strategy. A very successful session.

My local bees checked for swarm activity, no need for any swarm control but added some honey boxes for space.

Finn has hurt his leg so picked up from vet.

Quiet night.

Dog walking awaits.
