Red Pike

Another early start arriving 7.30am , but wasn't the first there. I was hoping  the lake would be mirror calm.  It wasn't as you can see.  This is Crummock Water at the Lanthwaite Wood end, a place I haven't been for a while.  It wasn't long before I was joined by wild swimmers dog swimmers and general walkers enjoying the scene.  I thought I'd go before things change.  Notices are up indicating what United Utilities are hoping to do: take out the weir and altering the straight course of Park Beck which flows into the lake just by the shadows on the right.  I chose this photo as it gives you how the light was illuminating the 'beach' and trees.  So I did get out.
