We have always admired this tree in Hackthorne Road, halfway down the hill from our house.
The top photo was taken in January when it was in full bloom. It was not long after this that the tree started to look very sad, as if it had some form of disease. Today's photo shows what is left after the aborists have visited. Such a shame.
