Excursion to Ayutthaya

Paid a visit to the ancient capital of Thailand.
Supposed to be an hour and a half or so bus journey, however a car in front of us in a motor way/high way suddenly started smoking blocking our sights and causing a major traffic jam. So that was another part of our bit of a long journey to Ayutthaya.

World Heritage temples (many of them in ruins) were incredible sights. Can't imagine how gorgeous these could have been in there old days.
Also seeing the level of flooding from 2011 was quite scary. Wouldn't want to see that again.
(btw, I wonder if someone can spot me somewhere in this photo. lol)

Elephant riding, Thai traditional dancing, Ladyboy dancers, I guess were other highlights today.
Done a lot of things today. Incredibly tired and I'm leaving the hotel at 7am tomorrow, so I have to wake up early.
