not quite harvest time

Today I spent a while in the garden tidying up the dead seed heads and removing weeds.

I was quite surprised by how a lot of the summer plants have finished flowering and the grapes are really established now. I expect to see the pesky squirrel soon. He likes to run off with bunches of grapes before I can get to them.

I chose this photo because I like the green leaf next to the dried up brown one. I love summer, but I do love autumn too.

Especially crunchy brown leaves and harvest time at the local vineyard.
