Marvellous party

The launch of Theo’s second book took place at his shop last night and was, as ever a glittering party.  Full of glittering people and lots of glittering champagne.  Apparently the second volume is as funny as the first so I really can’t wait to read it.  Sorry I only took a picture of the books - I should have papped the guests.

Worked at home in the morning and we caught the train up in the afternoon.  Again commenting at the beautiful greenery, this time sun drenched and equally lovely.

V was whisked away early by Penny to go and watch a production of Hamlet at the Barbican performed by adults with Downs which turned out not to be very successful.  I walked slowly back to Sloane Sq tube through an area I am always very nostalgic about because of my time working at the Royal Court.  As I walked down Holbein Place, looking at the smart antique furniture stores that had replaced the old Italian restaurant where we used to eat after shows, a loan blackbird sang loudly, but to my ears a bit forlornly into the empty shading sky.

Caught the 9 train home with a sandwich from M&S now able to take payment after their hack.  Nightsleeper series 3 - an attack on a famous supermarket?
