Spring at Oakgate

I enjoyed a little time out today meeting up with a couple of friends at a very nice pub in the village of Shawbury, near Shrewsbury and as the friends both live in Shrewsbury it was a good half way house for all of us. We try to meet up once a year and over a light lunch there was a lot of catching up to do. On the way home I had a quick mooch round a lovely family run plant nursery. The owners live on site but kindly let people wander round their beautiful garden. The Wisteria was absolutely gorgeous and I found the gardens and birdsong therapeutic and calming.

Missed a couple of days on Blip. Tuesday was back to the eye hospital for Mr HB to have his eye ulcer checked and the Doctor was pleased to report that it had dispersed. One good thing, but his head pain is unbearable at times so a heavy duty nerve blocking drug was prescribed, (I had to sign for it at the chemist?) and two days in it seems to be helping. Don’t know what happened yesterday but I was busy and wrecked by the evening so collapsed into bed. Here’s hoping for a better night for both of us tonight.
