Morning walk
A beautiful walk first thing with Ziggy. This is a bit of woodland we pass at the side of a footpath. The footpaths in our parish are looked after by a few volunteers known as "The Prowlers" (from Public Right of Way) and they make a great job of keeping the footpaths and stiles and gates clean and tidy.
Our son arrived late morning so we ate our lunch at a little local café and then visited Clive. He was a bit up and down, shouting one minute and then dozing then shouting again. In between I managed to feed him an apple sponge pudding with custard and he ate most of it. It looked delicious (the home has 3 great chefs) but I didn't try it.
Back home and I managed to pull a big bunch of rhubarb for our son to take back with him. I'm not sure if his wife and sons have ever eaten rhubarb (our d-i-l is Taiwanese and our grandsons were born and raised in Taiwan until about 18 months ago) so it will be interesting to see what they think of it.
