GOG himself
Today’s picture is of the GOG as he returned home across the railway bridge after his visit to the doctors; this one was chosen by him.
The appointment today was with his own doctor and she was the one who telephoned us last Friday. Although they can do nothing to bring forward any Addenbrooke’s appointments it seems that they can order Entonox, (gas and air) which is what worked when he was taken by ambulance to hospital. Currently they cannot prescribe it and pay for it from their budget, so we have to pay for it ourselves. However, our doctor is going to make a special case in the hope that they will allow it from her budget. As she pointed out, it will save money in the long run as the cost of ambulances is high. She believes that we should have two bottles, one portable so that trips to hospital can be made more bearable, as well as a larger one for home use. We await the outcome, but have ordered some anyway, which I have to collect from the surgery on Wednesday.
Our daughter telephoned from Tenerife today as our granddaughter Victoria was very worried; she wanted to speak to her granddad and was then going swimming.
Until the Grumpy Old Git is feeling better I am updating his journal with words and pictures to inform anyone who is interested in his progress.
