A day in the life

Farewell

Yesterday was a travel day, my friend Elaine lived with my childhood friend Roland for many years, they never married, that wasn’t so common around the seventies, but their relation was deep and loving. Cancer found him and he died in 94, greatly missed by many.

Elaine and me went to his grave yesterday, in the countryside, bringing his guitar and sang a few songs for him. It was actually very emotional, I played Blackbird, one of our mutual songs, accompanied by many blackbirds from the trees and rooftops. A few other friends were there too and we had a lovely time before i hit the E22 for Kalmar. A memorable trip where I also met some new people, maybe friends to be.
