Left behind

I have volunteered to patrol the outside of our solid fence line to make sure our homeless do not start camping there. I am supposed to just take pictures and report to our Neighborhood Watch captain.
Today I took matters into my own hands and tossed the beginnings of three camps over the fence to our side, then got help dragging it to a vacant parking spot.
I’m tired and not a little sad.
