Panic!

Today, PhD student B, И and I had an interesting meeting with two guys from Lloyds Bank, who wanted advice on why the method they were using to model and solve a problem wasn't working as they hoped. We gave them a couple of pointers, and they said they'd come back to us if they got stuck again. They almost certainly wouldn't but it was valuable experience. I then had a brief chat with И, before getting back to programming. 

Rather too tired to work intensely, I made an error that, I eventually fixed, but I was then too tired to do much more than look at the benchmarking results I'm generating for larger problems and realise that one of last week's good ideas wasn't often good, and that there's another bug elsewhere that I need to investigate. It wasn’t a great time to find this out, as I need the holiday break that's coming, but I’ve also got to start writing my slides for a seminar in Durham soon after we get back! 

A went out to Biodanza, and I walked Django on a beautiful evening that calmed me rather successfully!
