Morning au revoir

Woke early to walk the dog along the seafront at 7am.  The light was stunning, shining on the beach huts on the east promenade and dazzle-bright on the sea.  A couple of runners and dog walkers were out too, greeting me as they passed by.
Off the west side of the promenade a handful of swimmers.  I know of the existence of The Bluetits, Sheringham sea swimmers group and former fellow Cambridge dog walkers Pam and Penny said there was another with a title along the lines of 'It's alright once you're in'.

This morning's walk was a relaxing way to start the day very different from 7am in Cambridge.

While in Sheringham I watched an item on an itv magazine programme about the town resisting the establishment of a Domino's Pizza franchise.  There already is a good Pizza place and of course several fish and chip shops.

Here in Cambridge any clothes, shoe or retail unit selling items other than food has been been replaced by American fast food outlets: KFC, Wendy's, Pizza Pilgrim to name a few.  As a result what has also sprung up are delivery e-bikes/motorbikes for deliveroo, JustEats and UberEats crossing the city all through the day and evening.  In their attempts to deliver rapidly they frequently ignore pavements for pedestrians, one way streets or traffic lights.  I heard from one deliverer that students frequently order even merely a cup of coffee and doughnut when the outlet is just round the corner.

I didn't see any delivery e-bikes/motorbikes in Sheringham.  And that made walking pleasant and safer.  Long may it continue.

Back home now.   Just hope things start to move in the moving house chain.

Pleasant evening everyone.
