Afternoon walk (Day 3635)

I had planned to have today off, mainly because of a video consultation about my sciatica at lunchtime. It was guaranteed that if I started a small job in the morning, it would massively over run and I would have no signal on my phone.
I spent the morning doing a few things round the house, and at mid day took Sigyn for a wander.
I was back in time for lunch and to get organised for the consultation.
The consultant listened to my description of my symptoms and their duration and also the medication I have been taking. He asked a few questions then looked at my MRI scan.
He then asked if I wanted to see my scan (why on earth would I say no?) and pointed out the relevant bits on the scan (extra). The blue line on the left image runs through the middle of the worst prolapsed disc, and is the level of the section of the image on the right. They both show that the prolapsed disc is pressing on nerve roots which is why I am getting pain and pins and needles. It is great to see the little bastard that has crippled me for so long.
The consultant explained the differences on the two methods of administering the injection which form the basis of the study and said I am a good case for the study. I will get the treatment sometime in the next couple of months which is great news.
The rest of the afternoon was spent doing not much, apart from meeting with the bathroom surveyors who have come to visit our garden after speaking to my beautiful wife.
