Nature Diary.. A dull grey day.

A silent, uneventful, grey day, the excitement being a discovery on Amazon of a £7.99 replacement control unit for our remote control TV recorder thingy. To be delivered tomorrow.
Such joy is to be had these days with these complicated machines belching out all manner of brain numbing information and needing to be replaced by updates because they don't last long enough to give you enough time to learn  how to use them. 
And that's called "Progress".
Meanwhile, thrill of the day ( no, not an intelligent speach by the current UK Prime Minister...we're still waiting for that) but the unmissable sight of two Cross Channel Ferries going in opposite directions, the photograph of them presented here as a 3 minute interruption 
to the mind numbing information thrown out to us whether it be truth or/and lies.
    Bring back Andy Pandy, Muffin the Mule and The Flower Pot men.
They all knew which way was up.
