The Cald Beck . . .

. . . at Caldbeck

We’ve decided that lunches out in interesting places fit in well with Alice’s study schedule. So today we headed to Caldbeck, a place she remembers from many visits in the past. We had a lovely lunch at Priests Mill, the old watermill now a cafe and various shops. We sat outside in the sunshine and I was reminded of a day nine years ago when we had quite a Blip gathering in the same place. https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2158275907674967548

Then Alice and her Grandad went on a walking tour of Caldbeck, including a walk to the Howk, the limestone gorge and the remains of the old Bobbin Mill, both places her Mum and her Aunt used to walk to when they were young children and we were staying in Caldbeck, as we did on several occasions.

Meanwhile I was tempted into the wonderful Wool Clip (purchases were made). Then I walked along the Cald Beck amongst the Wild Garlic and Bluebells (see extra) until I met up with the other two as they walked down from St Kentigern’s Church - my blip.
