Babiana stricta
My collection of South African bulbs has been providing colour and interest in the greenhouse since early autumn. Just a few late flowering bulbs still to come, the one of them. Many (but not all) South African bulbs have brightly coloured flowers, this one is very pink! hardy enough for a cold greenhouse in coastal Wales, it would have needed winter heat to keep frost at bay in Norwich where I used to live.
A gently busy day off. A lovely walk with C and the Megs this morning was followed by a visit to pottery to roll out some clay and a few admin chores done at home before lunch. While the sunshine continued this afternoon I worked in the garden, weeding and sorting a few things in the greenhouse. I also started the next pottery project, another, differently designed clock case.
Singing tonight was good as usual. I always come away feeling a little lighter :-)
