In the Gloaming

Despite best intentions, I didn't get out into the garden until early evening to capture a blip. It was getting cloudy and consequently somewhat dark. I liked the way this Lesser Periwinkle arranged itself in my viewfinder. Extras are of Spanish bluebells and a clump of violets in the garden.

For some reason Len woke me at 6 am to offer a cup of tea. I accepted when I should have just turned over and gone back to sleep.

We had to get ready relatively early because it was Basil's spa day. He came out looking remarkably spruce but not perfumed. In the interim, we'd gone to Beacon Hill café for bacon sarnies and latte. It was a lovely morning. So fresh and young green leaves emerging.

For some reason, the pharmacy doesn't recognise when a GP adds a new medication to the repeat list so we had to go and fight Len's corner at the surgery to ensure he gets his anti-depressants by the end of the week.
