Slept well

Was expecting to be woken as daughter said little one hasn’t slept through since they arrived, but last night he did. In fact he didn’t get up until just before eight. We had already been out for a walk and had breakfast. They went for a day trip to Wallington and we did some jobs around the cottage. The garden is full of colour. Walked down by the river and met a friend we haven’t seen for a while.
The song thrush was at the top of the tree and so loud on our morning walk.
