Tuesday: #EarthDay

I woke up at 5 this morning because the owls were hooting nearby, soon afterwards Merlin the cockerel joined in too :-) MrD heard me clomping around so we both had a very early start.

Pleione (outdoor orchid) is today’s Blip, it’s very cold and windy here this afternoon but this beautiful plant takes all the miserable weather in its stride and manages to look so exotic and beautiful :-)) !!

Tomato seedlings looking very spindly, potted them on in fresh compost along with the Courgette seeds - they’re in cells in a closed transparent plastic box and will stay in the greenhouse now, fingers crossed x

ADDED LATER: we watched “The 6888” on Netflix - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Six_Triple_Eight - which is a very emotional film, the actors are so passionate and the story very much “of its time” …

Very heavy rain arrived around 9pm, my garden will be very glad of it as will all the countryside and farmland.
