Jimmy
I hadn’t seen Jimmy for a while. He spends some of his time at the creels. He seemed overly keen to talk about philosophy tutor Franz Brentano who discussed the possible existence of the unconscious mind in 1874. He had spent the previous evening reading Theodor Lipps and work by Fechner and Herbart. I was temporarily taken aback when Jimmy pondered if his roll-ups were as aesthetically pleasing, and as thin, as those of well known devotee of tobacco Schopenhauer. I wasn’t surprised in the least when he said he starts every day with a Freud egg. Jimmy is the warden of the Burnmouth Bothy in Rackwick (see extra). A large amount of funding has been released to put in water / showers / new bunk beds and reroof it. I shifted and replanted the euphorbias today and planted geranium pratense and Johnson’s Blue. Cut the grass and edged the lawn. Had a visit from a cuckoo. No swallows yet.
