Kirkham Priory

Bank Holiday Monday 21st April 2025

The forecast was for rain coming from the West so we went East to beat it for a few hours. Our first stop was Kirkham Priory, where we had a good walk round. 

The next plan was to go to Wharram Percy deserted Medieval village. I don't think we've ever been. It was a lovely drive through the countryside but then we discovered that the car park was 3/4 of a mile from the site and the path went down a steep hill. So, we still haven't visited it!

We decided to go to lunch in Malton instead, but after parking in the centre and walking to a few places, we discovered most cafes and pubs were closed for the bank holiday. We continued along the A64 and stopped at a pub for lunch instead. 

Back home we did some work on my photobook.
