Our garden in the rain now.
The Feast Day of Saint Theodore of Sykeon. Born Mid 7th century. Hermit. Bishop. Died 623. Turkey.
Patron saint of difficult marriages, invoked for or against rain.
Today is Earth Day. It is suddenly cold and rainy after a dry morning when I picked and put in our green bin, a saucer full of long grass and dandelions. You could find out more from Google about why we have Earth Day. In essence, do all reasonable things to protect Earth from harm. We know many of these already. Eg shop locally, don't drop litter, avoid occasions of obvious detrimental behaviour to the air and soil. The next generation and ours are reaping what has been sown and is being sown. I don't have political definition any more, but I heed the Lord's message and I love the Earth. It is not wrong to know the basics of the whole Bible and then aim to put God first and remember the Name of Jesus, His Sacred Blood and the Word of God are very powerful in God's reckoning and should have our full respect. We can each individually know our individual weaknesses and sins and seek God's best guidance for how to get spiritually strong and avoid temptations. God is forgiving through His Son Jesus.
Today it still feels sad in my humble way of looking at life, after yesterday's news of Pope Francis dying.
I have no idea how to overcome grief. I think we can offer it to God for His Divine purpose and just find a pastime to divert you away from the sadness. Turning to alcohol is not really helpful if you get in its grip. Reading, Audio books, knitting, walking, praying. There are many good things to avoid wallowing in the sadness. That's not to say forget the reason for the grief and sense of loss.
I hope you are having a good Tuesday blip friends.
Thank you for visiting my site.
