Clever boy!

Rainless......at last.  Such imperfect timing for the weekend's Easter holiday break.  Didn't feel at all inspired to ride today so J & I aiming for tomorrow.  Pottered with a few more little jobs and bits and pieces........the kind of days I quite enjoy when I have no looming deadlines/must-do's/appointments.  Given the sun made an appearance today it would have been rude to ignore it so instead, just to be polite you understand, I sat out in the garden and watched the fantails.  Minnie's memories are still all around.....when I was in the garden she would often come and sit with me, urging me to make a fuss of her or play ball with her.  I do think the fantails are enjoying the freedom to flit and fly without having to worry about where Minnie was watching them from though :)

A sad day with the news of the passing of Pope Francis.  Religion aside, he was a gentle, straight-talking man whose care about the well-being of all regardless of [fill in your own descriptors] was widely admired......a true humanist.   A great loss to humankind.
