What on earth?

Today has been a good day in many respects.
The weather has been good and nothing went wrong or pissed me off.
This afternoon I went out with my wife and got the chance to drive cross country at a reasonable ate of knots for a change.....that always cheers me up.
We found a little church tucked away in the main street of the town we were in. I had never really noticed it before but today there was a sandwich board outside inviting people in for 'prayer or contemplation'.
We went in for a nosey. It was a super little place based on a Byzantium church and it was all colour co-ordinated pinks which went with a quilt hanging on the wall celebrating the line of ministers from opeing to present day.

We then went for a walk in the country park where I was able to get shots of moorhens, verious ducks, swans and a heron.
However, the thing that facinated me most was the subject of todays blip. It was about 1" in diameter, looked like a cluster of tiny white fish roe with a tiny wasp on it (about the size of one of the eggs). Near it was a similar sized object which had a smooth coating over it.

Hopefully my son will be able to tell me what it is when he gets back from the States....................unless anybody here can tell me what it is.
