One step closer, but still unconvinced
Well, Happy Easter one and all. It might be a moveable feast, but it remains a feast. Having slept very badly once again – there is something in the basement that is causing me to have vivid dreams – I finally got up around 8 and rejoined the bosom of my family. Nice morning, and a lovely Skype visit with our friends out in BC, who had sent an Easter “box” for Ottawacker Jr., filled with gifts large and small. He’s still going through them.
Followed that up with a non-stop, scream-at-the-live-stream edition of the latest Liverpool performance. While we won 1-0 at Leicester City – and thus moved within three points of becoming champions again – it was a lamentable performance. Why should the supporter of a team that is winning be so fed up by the fact that they won away from home and are within one game of becoming champions? Good question – and I refer you to essentially every other entry of mine in blipfoto. I just have to face facts and accept that I am a miserable bastard. The reason is, as always, that I am worried about the future and am not sure whether our success is due to an excellent squad and manager, or whether it is due to a previous excellent manager and marks the end rather than the beginning of an era.
Harrumphing rather more loudly than I should, I put the roast chicken in for today’s dinner. Then I did some more photos, allowed my blood pressure to subside after the football, and essentially enjoyed the rest of the day.
For some reason, Ottawacker Jr. had soccer practice this evening; having had wine, Mrs. Ottawacker did all the running around.
