August Rain

We had such a wonderful day. A productive morning, led to rewarding ourselves with a trip to a nearby town to meet up with some friends for some exploration. We enjoyed a quick trip through the Farmer's Market, and then a leisurely walk along the boardwalk.

Our ultimate goal was to reach the Washed Ashore Exhibit, and that we did. It was fantastic. HERE you can see my Sugar playing some music on a giant starfish made of trash that has washed up on our beaches. It was such a great exhibit. Mom's and girls alike enjoyed taking part in creating some art made of trash. We made several trash kabobs that will be attached to an upcoming sculpture. We will be so excited to look for it. We spent over an hour in there enjoying every bit of it.

My girl and I then headed over to peek in on a friend who is moving to a new house. She was busy desperately trying to get her lawn mowed before the looming storm. She gave us a quick tour and we were on our way home to make dinner.

Soon the rain came. oh my...it poured. Sugar couldn't resist going out to play alittle in it. It seems that a rain storm in summer is FUN. In winter.....UGH! I snapped a few shots of my girl with her umbrella. A blip from last week mentioned a shirt I was sewing for my girl. You can see it HERE. I think it turned out pretty cute.
