Off to Inverness
I finished off packing the caravan this morning before getting myself ready and we were on the road just 15 minutes after I’d planned.
A smooth journey as far as Perth when we got caught in horribly slow traffic and it took an hour to travel less than 10 miles. We had planned to stop at Bruar for lunch but pulled over into a lay-by north of Perth and I quickly made some sandwiches. Tasty and saved us a few pounds too.
We made it to our campsite by just before 5 (almost 2 hours later than I had hoped) but it didn’t take too long to get set up. We were due at my brother’s for dinner at 7 so Mr PHL dropped me and Phin off at the woods for a walk whilst he nipped to the supermarket to stock up on all the things I’d neglected to pack.
We enjoyed a lovely Indian takeaway with a bonus chat with one of my nieces who joined ys for dinner. Didn’t intend it to be a late night but it was midnight before we finally headed back to the campsite.
Thanks to BikerBear for hosting FlowerFriday. My Mother’s Day flowers are finally giving up the ghost.
