Best beetle and best in show.
Despite the rain this morning we took the bug down to Portsmouth and the Beach Buggin' show. The rain soon cleared up and ended up with a bit of sunburn - gotta love the British weather and its unpredictability.
Entered into the show and shine - not to win anything but nice to take part and you get really good parking ;) This blip is of the winning blue metal flake bug. Had a ton of love and money thrown at it, nice that people still do silly things despite the dodgy economic climate!
Had smoked German sausage hot dogs for lunch and a sit on the beach watching the ferries.
Also wandered around the navy memorial to those 'lost at sea' in WW1 & 2, staggering... 24500 people lost - just from Portsmouth alone. Never mind the other armed forces, or other ports or even countries. Such a staggering loss of life and many a lot younger than I am now. Lest we forget.
Back at home I took the secatuers to the wisteria which wilted suddenly a few months back. And the prognosis is not good. It's dead. Such a shame.
Watched Dara O'Briains science club tonight - subject was time. Some pretty amazing stuff including prince rupert's drops, telescopic contact lenses and lab grow hearts. A-freaking-mazing! I love science I do!
Anyway's I've gone on long enough - clean sheets tonight, mmmmmmm!
