Bicycle Band Mystery

I came upon these six cyclists on my way home from a meeting. 
The violin and guitar makes them appear to be musicians on their way to a gig.
The cargo trikes usually haul PeaceHealth rental bikes out to the rental locations dotted around Eugene. 
The bicycle in the photo is one of these PeaceHealth rental bikes. 
There is a story captured in this image, but it is a mystery to me
