Maggie's

Maggie's is a cancer support charity, which provides a network of drop in centres in the UK. They provide support, information and practical advice in a caring environment, with the aim of helping anyone who has been affected by cancer.
Founded by Maggie Keswick Jencks who believed in the ability of buildings to uplift people. All of the centres are unique in design, designed by some of the countries leading architects.
They are located near by existing NHS hospitals.
This is the Maggie's centre for the Highlands located in front of Raigmore Hospital
It looks rather unusual and is an oasis to the eye in comparison to the behemoth that is our ever changing ever evolving district general hospital in the Highlands
I have been up and walked around the whole hospital block today and hope to get put soon. Today has been my best day in a long long time. Another step on the long road to recovery.
