Easter Chicks

This afternoon was the annual Easter Egg Hunt in our area. There were even more orienteering type courses on offer this year for older children and adults, while for smaller  children there was a traditional Easter egg hunt on the  village green, and a Junior  Maze which  we were supervising (as we did last year). The children had to use a simple map to locate, in the correct order, six numbered control points in the maze,  tapping each one as they ran past. We were timing them.
It was a busy but fun afternoon, and although people had been asked to register well beforehand, a sizeable number hadn't bothered until last night, by when it was impossible  to get more Easter eggs  to ensure every  participant got one! It is thought that nearly 400 people turned up today.
My blip is of some rather chubby chicks on the local Easter postbox topper.
We made an early morning visit to Doris, and  found her comfortable and  dozing.
