A Northern Flicker on Easter Morning

Not very "Eastery"(it should have been a rabbit) but I don't see them very often, so it is a bit like finding that hidden Easter egg.  Flickers are rather odd ducks, or I should say woodpeckers.  Flickers are one of the few of the Picidae family who aren't called woodpeckers.  They prefer to find their meals on the ground, ants primarily, although they will tap on trees from time to time.  Oh, and they are one of the very few woodpeckers who migrate.  I only see them in the spring. So, Happy Easter and I hope the bunny has brought you a basket of goodies!
