A Speckled Wood

There was a welcome visitor to my garden today, a speckled wood butterfly. In common with its species it seem to relish resting in pools of sunlight as it flit around the dappled areas of my garden. It even hung around long enough for me to change lens from the 500mm zoom to the 100mm macro, though I preferred this zoom lens shot even though I had to crop in.
