Limestone
Into town to get a slimline water butt that will fit alongside the shed and a food shop. I was chuffed that Cranstons have started to put together a sort of veg box of veg that would otherwise go to waste.
Then I headed off with my spade and some old compost bags and went to get some well rotted manure advertised on freegle. The elderly farmer (presumably the father of the person I’d emailed) and his elderly dog were in the yard alongside an elderly tractor in the ramshackle shed. I’d slipped back in time. I gave him some chocolate eggs by way of a small thank you and got digging and lugging. I only half filled three bags but was whacked.
I went for a walk on my way home … chilly wind but rather pleasant out of it and the sesleria grass was out and looking lovely.
