Sea horse tails!

This is my alpine wood fern, the new growth is always this lovely warm colour.
What a weekend we are having for things breaking...the dish washer door has broken, the central heating is on the blink, the bathroom sink plug has broken (while Rob was in the process of taking it to pieces as the sink was blocked). We are very lucky to have multiple bathrooms as the house used to be a B&B and we have an electric shower in one of them which did the job nicely this morning when there was no hot water. I am very glad we kept one electric shower as back up, and I am really pleased we don't have guests this weekend! Our heating engineer is coming round on Tuesday and Rob has ordered the sink part plus I will call the appliance fixer on Tuesday too and I'm sure we will be back to normal in no time.
