of getting at the sunflower seeds ... but I was hoping they would have had the message by now and realised theirs is a fruitless endeavour :-)

As you might know - I'm not a fan!

A can't be bothered day with an hour or so watching the birds on the feeders.   The grey squirrels make a lot of effort to get to them but over several months now, I've not seen them succeed.

The ash tree was cut off just about where the squirrel is sitting when we repaired our fence.  Since then it has sprouted plenty of new growth and does not (yet) show signs of ash-die-back.
