Horrid day

Cabin fever got the better of me late afternoon, so I shot out for a quick walk around the village between the downpours. I was half right, but why does the heaviest rain begin the further you are from home? The  church stonework is thoroughly soaked and the visibility beyond is much restricted. All this and a warning for heavy rain is now given for tonight.
