Cold
Today I relaxed in the morning, but also made further arrangements for a busy few days for the family in a couple of weeks' time. It sounded like a simple assignment, but it took me three goes. I cancelled the first since I’d not thought about Django, and the Plough in Eaton isn’t dog friendly. Then I booked a hotel just south of Astbury, only for A to point out that our daughters couldn’t share a room. Finally, I booked three rooms at the country hotel that, as a boy, I knew as the "Cranage mental hospital”. In the middle of the afternoon, I went out to stretch my legs. Although the trees are coming into leaf in the park, it was dull and distinctly cold: definitely not weather for pétanque.
