Bluebell Woodland
I persuaded Janet to a longer walk today, and we explored the bluebell woods to the southwest of the village. A nice 10km with some gentle climbs, and pretty much all away from the traffic - not that there was much, today being a bank holiday (I don't get those any more).
The wood is seldom walked by humans and so the bluebell swathes are deep and untrampled. I liked the twisting and fallen climbers that lie in the woodland floor like arboricultural calligraphy. Happily, the rain only began as we covered the final 10m to the front door.
But it's not going to be a motorcycle day - again. On the other hand, I signed up again for the DGR in May... and my RealRider subscription renewed, and I wondered if anyone else here used it. I wouldn't ride without it nowadays, especially alone.
