'Petals Unfold'

One of the beautiful tulips in the bouquet MollyG pulled out of her bag last Saturday at the finish of my 600th parkrun. A stunning display of yellow and green, they've been in a vase on the dining table and are still going strong! (Extra)

While editing this, for some unaccountable reason, a poem by the American poet Richard Brautigan came to mind. It is entitled 'Discovery' and is very 1960s (when I first read it), but with undertones that might be a bit controversial today!
